Bettembourg, September 22, 2014 – In the presence of Mr Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister and Minister for Communications and Media, Mr Etienne Schneider, Minister of the Economy, Mr Laurent Zeimet, Mayor of Bettembourg and with a number of distinguished guests from the local and international ICT sector in attendance, LuxConnect has celebrated the bare brick completion on its biggest Data Center, located on the Bettembourg “Krakelshaff” ICT Campus.
DC1.3, LuxConnect’s newest Data Center on which construction began in August 2013, will be operational in August 2015. With its net IT surface of 5.500 m2, arranged over two levels, DC1.3 has already been Design Certified Tier II and Tier IV by the Uptime Institute. It will offer a complete range of co-location services to address the highly modular requirements of the ICT community in terms of space and energy.
As for the other Data Centers of LuxConnect, DC 1.3 will be at the forefront regarding the use of green technologies in power and water management.
